Problem selecting variant after update

-- HikaShop version -- : 4.3.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.9.19
-- PHP version -- : 7.2.31

Hi,
After updating Hikashop 3.5.1 to version 4.3.0 there's a big problem with the selection of variants on the product pages.

When changing the selected variant from A to B sometimes the price and the variant name do not change.
The price and name of the previous selected A still are there. So you can't buy variant B.

Often this happens when selecting the first or second variant in the list, sometimes if happens to all variants.
I noticed that usually the last variant in the list works fine.
Not all products have this problem, but probably all products with 3 or more variants have.

There is no problem with the images of the variants. After changing the selected variant the right image is shown.

Just change the selected variant in the product url several times and you'll see what happens.
This url is just an example, it happens with many products.

I've tested if the problem is caused by the template or template overrides. I changed the template on a local copy of the website (which has the same problem).. The problem persists after changing the template to protostar.

A second problem arose after the update: some products now get an empty white page. This may or may not be related to the variant problem.

Hi,

1. Turn off the "characteristic dynamic display" setting in the HikaShop configuration and it will work like before.


2. for the white page, please activate the error reporting and debug mode settings of the Joomla configuration and check these pages again. You should hopefully get an error message with these settings activated which will help us understand what's going on.

First, and important point, please don't edit your message a long time ago after had posted it, post a new message if you have more info to add, because that mess up with our ticket service.

Hi,
Sorry about my edition of the first message. However the adjustment was very small and didnot change the content at all.

Turning off the characteristic dynamic display didnot help.
I'm very happy with this new feature, so it's activated again.

The white page didnot show any error message when error reporting and debugging.are activated.

After some extra testing I have found that the problem is caused by the module Magic Thumb for Hikashop.
After unpublishing that module everything worked fine again.

I contacted the support of Magic Thumb, Some changes in a php file were made and now this module works fine in Hikashop 4.3.0.
Problem solved.
