Hi,

We get this message "Some of the plugins (HikaShop affiliate plugin) have a restricted access. Please ensure that their access is set to 'Public' via the Joomla plugins manager or they won't work properly."

We have create a new group (driving schools) so some content, menu-items and modules are only visible if you get this (role) user group.

So is this really a problem that we set the plugin to the user group "driving schools"? Because it looks like everything works fine.

We do this because we want to prevent regular customers in the webshop from seeing affiliation in 'my account'.

So can we ignore this message? If yes, how can we turn it off?

Kind regards,
Lumiga

Hi,

If you do this, it means that the Affiliate plugin will only track users that are already logged in with the user group.
So since the goal of the affiliate plugin is to track users when they arrive on the website from somewhere else, it basically won't track anything.
You have to keep the affiliate plugin's access to public or your affiliation program won't work properly.
If you want to only display the interface for some customers, then you should edit the cpanel.php view file via the menu Display>Views and add some custom coding to check the groups of the current user to remove the affiliate area if necessary.
