Productpage Hikashop typepad problem on mobile devices

Hi,

On any productpage the typepad won't disappear after entering a textfield on any iPhone. The button to lower the typepad doesn't respond at all. I contacted the Template developer first (Ivee Ecommerce), but he directed my to you, suggesting it could be related to a javascript conflict used for the product fields.

Joomla 3.10.6
Hikashop 4.5.0
Browsers tested: Chrome and Edge

On our testsite for Joomla 4 the problem doesn't occur, but we can't update to Joomla 4 as some plug-ins aren't ready yet.

Sorry for this return but we aren't sure to understand your issue can you elaborate with this elements :
- What is for you a "typepad" ?
- Can you provide a step by step process in order to allow us to experience the issue.
- Details more what is wrong, in which context (annotated screenshot, bordered elements)

Hi,

The typepad is the on-screen keyboard on a iPhone. When entering a field on any productpage or registrationform the keyboard pops up and won't lower when touching the "ready" button on the right. In the attachement you see the screenshot with the button highlighted.

I don't see why that would happen.
And if you click somewhere else on the page does the virtual keyboard closes itself ? (it should I suppose)

Also, you say it works on Joomla 4. So I doubt the issue is in HikaShop since I suppose you've tested with HikaShop custom item fields on joomla 4.
Did you try with the same template on Joomla 4 ?
If yes, then it means it's not coming from the template either.
If not, could you do that test ?
It could also come from a plugin or a module adding it's javascript to the page and somehow messing the behavior of that "done" button. so that might be why you don't have the issue on Joomla 4 as you don't have these extra modules/plugins
Also, do you have the issue on other forms like on this page ? jouwnaambord.nl/bedrijfsnaambord/offerte-bedrijfsborden
If yes, then it means that it comes from something which is on all the pages.

Hi,

I understand what your saying. Indeed the template used on Joomla 4 is the same one. I deactived the plugins one by one in Joomla 3.10, but that didn't solve the problem. But you are right, I tested and the problem also exists on pages with just a contactform. That indeed means it probably is not coming from Hikashop too. I'm a little bit out of options right now. I will search for other options, thanks.

Hi,

Since you already tried disabling the plugins, try switching the template to the default one.
Also, try disabling the modules one by one.
And finally, you can try disabling the extensions one by one.
It's hard to find the culprit when you don't know where to look exactly :/
