Housenumber missing after update to Joomla 4 and Hikashop 4.6.2

-- Joomla version -- : 4.2.2
-- PHP version -- : 8

Hello supportteam,

We have successfully had a custom field for the house number for several years now. But since the update to Joomla 4 and Hikashop 4.6.2, it no longer appears on the invoice and shipping invoice.

See screenshots, where do we have to look to fix this?



Our mini address format looks like:
{address_lastname} {address_middle_name} {address_firstname} - {address_street} {address_house_number} ({address_country})

Hi,

Edit the settings of the custom field once and save them once.
If that doesn't help, please provide the screenshot of the settings of the custom field.

Editing the setting, save it and change it back and save it again doesn't work.

Hi,

Can you please confirm that the address you're testing with has a house number filled in in the custom address field ?
I suppose you must have created the address you're using for your test before you've added the custom field and thus the house number field in empty in the address and that's why it's not appearing there but it's fact it's working fine.
Because besides that I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Hi Nicolas,

yes I can confirm that the address have a housenumber filled in.
This field is required for over 5 years now and all the time it worked fine.
But after the update to J4 and 4.6.2 it stopped working.

We have this issue on all our J4 webshops. But that's maby because we copy some of them.

Here the screenshot form the order.



We have this issue on the invoice and shipping invoice.
I also tested this with a default invoice view but still it doesn't work.

I have sent you our login credentials on the e-mail through the contact page.
I hope you can find the problem. If you can't you can try to copy the address format and then restore to default address format and save. And then paste the old format back and save it again. Ik looks like this wil fix the issue. Could you confim that?

Hi,

The issue is that the backend template changed when you migrated to Joomla 4. So you're missing the override for the address format for your backend template. But since you still have it for the frontend template, and since you don't do any modifications to the address format when you save the HikaShop configuration, the system skips adding the override.
So reset the address format and redo it, and it will work.

On our end, we'll look at improving the system so that it doesn't skip if the override is missing.
