Having a Joomla usergroup 'Packing' need to have all special access to all order details, in order to proceed for order packing. However after setting the access permission for the usergroup 'Packing' under Hikashop, still could not work. Any way to setup for the user group to see all the order details in front end?

Hello,

In order to better understand the situation, and potentially see what is missing from your configuration, we will need the following information:

- Can you specify what you mean by "to see all the order details in front end"?
- Screenshots of the relevant configurations that you have set up.
- Details what specifically "still could not work", is nothing working? Only a part?
=> In short, help us understand what could be blocking.

Waiting for your feedback
Best regards

<a href="/dashboard/order/show/cid-<?php echo $order_id; ?>">

using this in the component frontend to link to order detail page. if login with super user account, then there will be no issue. If login with the 'packing' usergroup, can only view self order.

Hi,

There is no frontend order management in HikaShop.
The ACLs you see are to setup access to the backend of HikaShop.

If you want frontend access to orders, you'll have to use HikaMarket front edition:
www.hikashop.com/hikamarket-front-end.html
It was made specifically to add that capability to HikaShop.

Not planning in including Hikamarket in the website. Any other way?

Hi,

Well, the alternative is for you to hack into the core code of HikaShop to modify the security mechanisms preventing other users than the user of the order from accessing the order information, and then create a new view to list all the orders on the frontend, etc.
You're up for a lot of work, even if you're a skilled developer, and you'll have issues updating HikaShop in the future.
So it's technically possible, but compared to just using HikaMarket front edition, I don't see any benefit in doing so. Even cost wise, HikaMarket only costs 75€. But the amount of work necessary, by a skilled developer will cost at least several hundred euros, and probably closer to one to 2 thousand euros.
