Hi, just as with my topic on preorders for options i have an issue with variants.

1 of my products has 1 variant not in stock, i set it to 0 and the main page is also 0 (already find this confusing/non intiutive by the way)
So when i select the variant it should get the preorder button but it get the waiting list function button.

What do i need to set or do to get the preorder button functioning on variants of a product?
Thanks

Hi,

What did you set in the preorder stock field of the main product and of the preorder stock field of the variant ?

I set 50 in the main product preorder stock field and as you might know, there is no preorder field in variants, which is probably the issue.

Hello,

The "preorder product" plugin has been developed to be compatible with HikaShop variants ; the field should also be displayed in the backend view "product/variants".
Please indicate your HikaShop version number.

I have finally found the field which was hidden inbetween 2 custom fields Nicolas made for me, but without seems so truly hidden unless you know what to look for.
*Nicolas can you make the custom fields so that the preorder field is seperated from (/out of between) specifications and video field?

The field is not in the middle of the custom fields by default.
And the interface is customizable by drag&drop of the label of the fields:
www.hikashop.com/home/blog/481-hikashop-4-5-1.html#d&d
So I'm thinking you might have moved the fields yourself (or someone else on your end).
I would thus recommend rearranging the fields yourself with the drag & drop interface.

Yes so although i know nothing about how to do this and did not even find it until yesterday, i moved it. Yes, lets say i did. so now i moved it again and the product page gave a 404 so now i'm putting back a backup from the server. Fun times.

Hi,

Well, knowing the code behind all this, I don't see how changing the order of the fields in the interface would lead to a 404 error. Also, it seems that you're saying that it led to a 404 error on the product page on the frontend ? That's even more remote.
I think that both things are not linked. There must be something else at play here.
A 404 error is too generic for my to say anything useful though. I would need the full error with the "debug" setting activated and the URL of the page.
Now, one alternative to moving the fields around is to click on the button to disable the form customization in the green area at the bottom of the product page. This way, you'll get the default position of the fields on the product form page.
