Not sure if Integrations is the right category but here goes. My client wants to integrate the manufacterer's stock levels into their site since all sales will be drop shipped to the customer from the manufacterer. The manufacterer has given me ftp files to use but I have no idea how to integrate them into my Joomla site. Can you please help me.....thanks.

Hi,

In what format are these files ? Could you provide the few first lines of such file so that we can see that ?

Hey Nicolas. Thanks for answering. Not really sure about the files. They came from Carhart FTP.
The names of the files are as such: Availability, C1 test interface, GXS, SPS, ss, Swarmbuilder, Availability_BOD_CSV
I can't open them but they are supposed to be able to tie into my site and pull from their inventory levels. Not sure what else I need to do or what to get to you.....

There are some CSV files with clothing styles, sizes and colors. These must be all of the info on the clothing but I still don't know how to implement them into HikaShop.
Some files my computer can't open.
Sorry if this isn't a HikaShop issue. I just don't know.....

Hi,

You should be able to open them with the software called notepad++. Once installed, right click on the file, and select "open with notepad++" and that should do it.
We really need to see the first few lines of the file to be able to answer you.

Okay
1st 3 lines in file "AVAILABILITY_BOD_CSV" which is at ftp://ftp.carhartt.com/AVAILABILITY_BOD_CSV :
"A","50000018"," "," ","OFA","886859420677",118 ,20140108
"A","100001 ","001","REG","2XL","035481798481",143 ,20140108
"A","100001 ","001","REG","3XL","035481799365",453 ,20140108
I'm pretty sure 100001 is a pants style etc.

1st 3 lines in file "AVAILABILITY_TRN_CSV" which is in folder "Swarmbuilder"

A 50000018 OFA 886859420677 125 20140706
A 100001 1 REG 2XL 35481798481 2 20140706
A 100001 1 REG 3XL 35481799365 369 20140706
Again, I'm pretty sure these reflect pants styles, colors and sizes. At least some of the info does. This was a spread sheet.

1st 3 lines is file "AVAILABILITY_BOD " which opens in IE at ftp://ftp.carhartt.com/AVAILABILITY/AVAILABILITY_BOD

A50000018 OFA886859420677000012520140706
A100001 001REG2XL035481798481000000220140706
A100001 001REG3XL035481799365000036920140706
Again, pretty sure these reflect stock on all the available clothing.

1st 3 lines in file "File_Cabela_846_Data.txt " in folder C1TestInterface which opens at ftp://ftp.carhartt.com/C1TestInterface/File_Cabela_846_Data.txt

H|0000212329|0000000016068038|20140626
D|A|886859175119|100001-307REG2XL|502|20140626|QUICK DUCK WOODWARD ACTIVE JAC|0|03676728
D|A|886859175133|100001-307REG3XL|72|20140626|QUICK DUCK WOODWARD ACTIVE JAC|0|03676729

There seems to be a few more spread sheets which I think are different forms of the same thing.
I think these files are all of the products Carhartt makes and somehow I need to integrate them in a way that shows stock availability.
Thanks

Hi,

The files won't be easy to import. It will require to build a custom plugin to download them on the FTP and import the data.
You'll need the help of a professional PHP developer if you're not one yourself.
You can ask our partners for a quote www.hikashop.com/home/our-partners.html or look for a developer on joomlancers.com or resources.joomla.org
