Custom Product as an extension Payment Option

Ezy Parking provides offsite airport parking and is running an old, unsupported Joomla booking system with no payment gateway. Bookings can be made up to 6 months in advance so getting payment at time of booking would have significant cashflow improvements.

The choice was to replace the booking system with a custom system (too expensive) or find a payment system that could integrate with an unsupported booking system. The second option was easily attained using the Hikashop custom product plugin by passing the booking details to custom fields in the form of a landing page url. It also allowed us to add pre-paid gift certificate functionality. We used Fabrik to provide detailed reporting linking Hikashop payment tables to the booking system tables.

This Hikashop solution has dramatically improved the clients cashflow and increased sales as well.
