-- url of the page with the problem -- : madein-bg.com
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.5
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.16

When registering with JFBConnect, using the facebook account information, an empty address is assigned to the newly created user.

This comes with the risk that the user may complete the order with no real contact information provided.

Hi,

HikaShop only displays and uses the email address of the Joomla user account. If JFBConnect doesn't add the email address of the customer in the Joomla user account, we can't do anything about it
You should see with JFBConnect if there is a way to add the email address of the facebook account to the Joomla user account created by JFBConnect.

No it's this way:

In case someone uses HS registration, he is not obliged to provide address information and there is no record in hikashop_address table.

Then at the first checkout he is asked to fill the address form and he is obliged to do that. He can not continue, because no record exists in hikashop_address table.

But when refisterng with JFBConnect an empty record is added in hikashop_address table. This means he might complete the checkout and HS won't ask for any additional address information. This way we won't be able to send the goods, because there is no phisycal address provided by the user.

I think this can not be connected in any way with Joomla registration.

I hope that this time I managed to explain ti better ;)

Regards, Iliya

Hi,

Ah, I thought you were talking about the email address, not the address address.
I don't see why an empty address would be created.
I've contacted JFBConnect so that they can provide a copy of it so that we can debug the issue on our end.
Unfortunately, we were not able to reproduce the issue.
When I click on the "login with facebook" button of JFBConnect, I first get a Facebook popup so that I can accept the connection with my Facebook account. Then, I'm redirected to the JFBConnect user registration form where I need to enter the password I want and then I am redirected to the activation message page. I then click on the activation link of the email sent by JFBConnect and I can then log on the checkout with the user account created. I didn't get any blank address created by JFBConnect for that user account.

Hi, nicolas.

No auto reg - If I disable automatic registraion in JFBConnect, a registraion form is displayed and only names are auto-filled in. This is the case described by you. But you are obliged to enter password and Address info and ... This is absolutely useless. It doesn't ease the process at all.

Auto reg - I would like to use Automatic registraion where the user is not asked to enter any information at all at this step. The fb names and email are used. No address info is provided and no address record should exist on user creation completion. But it does creates address record in HS address table, which is not desired at all.

You may register here: madein-bg.com and you will see what the process looks like. I may provide you admin rights in order to check the configuration if needed.

Kind Regards

Hi,

Ok, I did a test on my end with the Auto reg option activated and I'm getting logged in automatically on the checkout and still no address is added for my new user.
I also tried on your website but I'm getting an error from FaceBook telling me that your application is not configured.
So I'm still not able to reproduce the issue.

Hi, nicolas.

Yes there were some misconfigurations with Fb at the time you were testing. Please excuse me about that. We fixed them and now you may check and see the empty address generated. And as I mentioned I may provide you admin rights in order to check the configuration.

Thank You!
