-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.scentsgourmet.com
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.0
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.37

is it possible to downgrade to HikeShop 2 from 3.4 with out problems or would I have to re install and reconfigure Hikashop?

I just want to know if I can and if I can how hard it would be..

Thank you so much!

Hi,

Based on your message, I'm not clear if you're talking about downgrading Joomla or HikaShop and which version you want to use.

There are four things I can think of which could be problematic with a downgrade of HikaShop:
- If you have view overrides, these overrides might use recent functions of HikaShop which didn't exist in the old version and thus the overrides might break (you can always remove the overrides)
- You might have third party extensions integrated with functionalities of HikaShop which didn't exist in the old version and thus the extension might break (you can always disable the extension)
- You might have enabled HikaShop plugins with functionalities of HikaShop which didn't exist in the old version and thus the plugin might break (you can always disable the plugin)
- You might downgrade to a version of HikaShop which doesn't support the current version of Joomla you're using.
So nothing that can't be fixed, and it might actually work without doing anything wrong.

If you downgrade your Joomla, it shouldn't be a problem for HikaShop itself as HikaShop is compatible with all the versions of Joomla. But it might break other extensions, or even functions of Joomla itself if not done properly.
