best way to inject JS for our custom extension

We recently had to change one line from hikashop core to allow our custom extension to continue to work: line no: 1134 of administrator\components\com_hikashop\classes\field.php. There is html safe function that cleans the script tag from our request. This is needed for our process. This is a new code for J4 hika, not available in J3 hika.

Is there a better way to be doing this? We just commented out the line referenced above to allow our JS to work.
