Google Products uploading "Local product Inventory fields" to supplimental feed

Google Merchant Center has a feature in addition to their product feed used to upload local inventory. I tried using the output from the Google Products Plugin to upload to the supplemental feed but the import errored because it's missing a required field "Store_Code" and unnecessarily includes unrecognized fields not needed for the local inventory updates. A couple of questions:
1.) Any chance of getting a "Google Local Inventory Plugin" developed to support this type of upload to Google?

2.) If not, I should be able to copy the Google Product plugin to create another plugin that adds the missing fields (such as store_code) and exports only the fields need for the local inventory to update?
