Mass Action - Error

-- HikaShop version -- : Essential 2.2.1
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5

I am trying to add/delete characteristic from my product (on a category basis) using Mass Action. It seems to do it only for the first 10 to 15 products but not for all (maximum of 70 products in each category) then my browser (IE or Mozilla) returns the following errors:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 32 bytes) in /home/public_html/administrator/components/com_hikashop/classes/product.php on line 1203

It seemed to be something coming from my server admin but was wondering what would be the best way to solve this problem.

Hi,

Can you provide more information about your "mass action' configuration ?
We will try to reproduce the problem in order to find a good fix about this memory problem.

Trigger: No Trigger
Filter: Category Columns - Category_id = 12 (for example)
Actions: Update the Characteristic - Add "Something"

Hi,

The problem is that, it will depends on the number of targeted elements.
How many product is there in your category ? (the mass action should give you this number).
If I test in my local website, with 10 products, it works but I guess that you should have many more and maybe some products with already variants.

The number of products per category vary from 40 to 60 with three characteristics each.

Hi,

Thanks for the information.
I created an issue in our bug tracker so Xavier will be able to fix it during the next week.
For the moment I create a little patch but I am not sure that it will right fix your issue. It is not something easy to reproduce, we don't know exactly where we should empty the memory, what function and what variable is the cause of this memory limit.

I managed to update my product manually at this stage, perhaps I might need to use the Mass Action at a later stage. In the meantime, thank you for your time and effort.
