mass actions - order csv by date

using mass actions to export orders to a csv, this works

but what if we want to select a beginning and end date for the export

we can export daily, thats fine and works as long as someone is in the office everyday

but if the manager has 3 days off (for a weekend) then how does he get 3 days worth of orders and not just the last day
