Hi,

This is what is called a "blank page". The process stops in the middle because of a fatal error.
It can be due to two things:
- a bug
- a limitation of your hosting
As you're doing an export, it's highly likely to be the second case.
On most websites, if you do the same action again after activating the "error reporting" setting of the Joomla configuration, you'll get an error message at the bottom, telling you what is the problem.
It's highly likely to come from the memory_limit parameter of the php.ini of your web server which is too low for the amount of products to be loaded for the export.
In that case, you would have to contact your hosting company to increase that parameter value, or use a mass action via the menu System>Mass actions with an action "export CSV". With a mass action, you can limit the amount of products to be exported and thus to can get several CSVs of the products with different chuncks so that you get them all.

HI Nicolas,

Thasnk for your reply. We have been trying to export via mass actions, but are having some issues as when we try and import into the new website we are getting lots of errors.

Could you tell us how for example we would export all E-Liquids? The site is infinityvape.co.uk and this has the most products in it. We have been tgrying to export this but can never get it to load in the new site.

We have the categories set up with the same names but they do have different number ID's?

I can't find the answer in the documentation we have read.

Your help is appreciatted.

Hi,

If you export via the mass actions, you have to import via this tool too as the columns in the csv file can differ.
Export mass action: take.ms/yIqPH
Import mass action: take.ms/Xs8xN

Hi,

We get an error when trying to import the file via the method you're showing:

An error has occurred.
20 JPath::check Snooping out of bounds @ /newsite2/csv/eliquids.csv

We have tried various paths with no luck:
infinityvape.co.uk/newsite2/csv/eliquids.csv
infinityvape.co.uk/newsite2/csv/eliquids.csv
/csv/eliquids.csv

We placed the cvs folder in the main directory of the newsite which is infinityvape.co.uk/newsite2

Your help is appreciatted.

Hi,

Please enter the absolute path to the CSV file.
It must be something like that:
/var/www/infinityvape.co.uk/newsite2/csv/eliquids.csv
If you're not sure about the path of your website, you can ask your hosting company.

Hi,

It seems that you does not have the latest version of HikaShop.

The "20 JPath::check Snooping out of bounds @ /newsite2/csv/eliquids.csv" error means that the file is not reachable.
You have to place it in the new website environment., but you seems to have solved that issue.

Now there is a MySQL error present when trying to import the csv file. I just tried on my local, and the import went just fine.
So please update your HikaShop version and try again.
If that still does not work, so you can send ftp access via our contact form.

In which subfolder is the "newsite2" on the FTP ?
I tried in public_html and subdomains/dev but it seems to be somewhere else..

Hi,

We had a little issue in our code indeed. So I just tried to export and import and it worked.
But now it seems that there is some missing data. I was able to reproduce the issue on my local and will debug it.

I keep you informed.
