How could I set canonical from category id?

I have tried this mass action:

{category_id}/{product_id}-{product_alias}

This is not possible that way, but could be an interesting feature.
For now, you have to add a filter on the desired category and replace "{category_id}" in the action by the category name directly.

my general goal is to set all canonical url for all goods in shop.

Many problems appears if I simply set "Use canonical URL and generate it if missing" - some addreses get wrong value. So I need to manually crawl the site with particular order. That is not good.

And I think that set canoncial address is good option in mass actions.

All work fine but I can't get category canonical address to include it in canonical address for product (like this: {category_canonical}/{product_id}-{product_alias})

So there is no solution for this? It is really terrible now to mannualy set all canonical addreses....

No solution for this for the moment, I have added this on our todo list.

My solution allow to not edit all the products one by one but to set the canonical url to the products categories per categories which is quicker. Simply use the mass actions, and filter to a category, then for the path use "MY_CATEGORY/{product_id}-{product_alias}"
