-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.coloidale.ro
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.0
-- Joomla version -- : 1.5.26
-- PHP version -- :5.1?
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : all
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- :no error

Please try to make a order like this: go to a section of the shop, Coloidale for instance. Try to put in the basket 4-5 products from the same category and look to the shopping cart. I was not attentive in the past, it seemed to work well, but I don't remember. You will see that the cart is updated correctly for the first 2 products, and then, stops updating.

What you will see I think it is because the browser's cache. If you go to another section, next 1-2 products will do the job, the next will fail to update the cart. If you go to the cart, it will be updated. If from the cart you will go to the last page (not from the browser, but from the menu), you will see that the cart is wrong again.

Now, If instead showing that popup when ordering I would let the cart to stay on the same page after adding to cart, the cart will not be updated but when going to check the cart. So if instead of the popup I put go to checkout after I add a product, the cart is updated correctly.

BUT: even if i select the cart to go to checkout after adding a product, if I want to return to the same shop section from where I added the last product, the cart is messed up again, not showing the last product. If I go to another section, is ok.

So, how I manage the browser's cache, i this is all about? Cookies? I have a cache cleaner pro installed, it is deleting the cache at 1 second, but this is on my side, not on user's side.

This is a nasty thing. Please help!!! I will provide by e-mail the login data for the backend, event they are the same like last time.

Hi,

In the Joomla parameters, thanks to check if the cache is disabled.
And you have to check too if the plugin system joomla cache is disabled.

It's possible that a third extension or your template use cache too, so you will have to disable it.

I don't know what to say.

Global configuration cache, disabled. System cache, of course, disabled. If a third party extension use cache, I must find how to find it. Maybe it is hikashop :P

However, I installed cache cleaner pro, so a professional edition. It should do the job. Now, in fact it has not much effect. On save and apply, it must clean cache. I set it to give a message when cleaning (now I disabled the message), and it says it does. Useless. If I put in basket 2 items, is ok. The third, fourth, fifth, and (randomly) other, don't update the cart. At a (random) point, the cart is updated.

After in the proces of adding items, evenif the cart it is not updated, I jump to another page (Home, let say), then the cart it is updated. Maybe cache cleaner pro is doing the job corectly only at the page change (not update), or maybe it is not from the site, but from the browser (any browser, all do the same, and this make me to ask questions).

So, any ideea? Free acces at backend and popcorn...

It is not the chache. Or if it is, it has to do with hika shop.

I only added a "continue shopping"button, setting a url for it, and it works like a charm, even one would say it has nothing to do.. So there is something rot in hika ;)

Now, if you want to test again, I am all yours... I will continue to check tomorrow, to not be premature joyfull.

Sorry, it was premature. I closed the browser, and reopened, and works like shit...

But: if I go to the basket (after finally shows something in it), and press "continue shopping"button, then it works like a charm. I think I have the worse template in the world!!! I couldn't think hika shop is the problem, but... I do have a problem.

Ok, tested again!!!!!

So, open Opera, clear all private data, acces www.coloidale.ro . Buy some products, works like shit... Finally, I go to the basket, it is updating correctly. I press "continue shopping"button, the cart is clearing (!!!), but then it is working like a charm. If after that I press again the "continue shopping"button, it still works well, but the cart it is not emptying (and that is the way it should be.

Now, Xavier, or anybody else, what is the link between this and system cache, cos I am not such skilled in coding and stuff...

It has to do something with https.

I set the cart to go to checkout after adding a product.

Then I set the checkout to use https.

Now it works.
So when coming from http, or changing from http to https, bad thing happens. My site is a mess =))

It don't work like I wanted, but still... it works.
