Hi,

I am trying to get the bank transfer order process to work as per my requirements. I would like

1. Order email sent to customer after they place the order - included in the email must be the bank details for them to make payment t
2. Payment confirmation email sent when payment is received - initiated from admin side

Is this possible?

Currently NO emails at all are sent to a customer even to acknowledge registration

Please advise

Thanks

Hi,

Can you send an email to your customers using the "email" button in the HikaShop backend ?

Hi,

Such emails are sent by default by HikaShop. If you don't get any emails, there is a miss configuration of either the emails settings of the Joomla configuration or the emails settings of the HikaShop configuration.

If you edit a customer in HikaShop, there should be an "email" button in order to contact the user that you can use to see if your website can at least send emails without any html.

In any case though, the best is to check your Joomla/HikaShop email settings with your hosting company as it's highly possible that they are not configured as per their requirements.

Hi,

Thanks for the advice.

I did find that the Super Admin email I had put in the Joomla Config was not the same as the Hikashop admin email.

All emails are sending from Hikashop to admin.

I went to edit a test customer email, found the send email button, clicked it but still did not work.

Please advise.

Thanks

Hi,

Please check your Joomla/HikaShop email settings with your hosting company as it's highly possible that they are not configured as per their requirements regarding HTML emails sending.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion but I am not convinced. Why does it happily send admin emails but not customer ones?

I have other websites on the same server and they work fine.

All very strange...

Hi,

All the Joomla emails are sent in text mode. HikaShop emails are sent in HTML in order to have a better looking presentation. HTML emails can use multi-part mode or not and other options that are relevant to text emails. Thus, if the email settings are not configured properly, it's possible that text emails are accepted by your email server while the HTML emails are rejected.
HikaShop is using the Joomla email sending library to send the emails and also use the Joomla/HikaShop email settings for that.
So it's definitely not a bug in HikaShop nor in Joomla as HikaShop uses Joomla to send the emails and that you can send other emails on your website. So the only thing left is the email settings.
