New mail system and images

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.1.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.4
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message

It seems products images are used in the email notifications of the new mail system in Hikashop 2.2.2 in the form of embedded images with cid URLs such as img src="cid:efb96c2574839fbd64ed03e4f63e97e6"

The idea is great but it does not work in my case and we see broken images in Outlook.
Has anyone seen this working successfully?

Hi,

Images in the new system does not use embedded images. It uses classical image with a url pointing to your website.

Thanks for the info.

All the images appear as attached files in Outlook and Gmail except for the site logo. Maybe this can give a hint of what may be wrong?

I have also noticed that email templates that were customized in Hikashop 2.2.1 did keep the customizations in 2.2.2
Is there a way we could recover all the email templates from 2.2.1 while we investigate 2.2.2 on a test site?

Hi,

You can use the emails' HTML of the previous HikaShop version ; put it as the content for the override.
If you still have an old HikaShop package, you will be able to find the email content in the "media/mail" folder of the zip.
