Hi Nicolas,
No it is not really easy with Acy because subscriptions that are made with filters will not send a welcome message. I have asked Adrian to make this optional but for now, it is a long road to create a campaign and connect this with the product buying. Not a simple and good solution.
If we want to keep Hika and Joomla populair we need to listen to clients and what they want. My clients are looking for simple to maintain and nicely integrated components. Those signals should be taken serious and the request for emails with articles, is is one that keeps coming back.
Besides that people want better reporting, kind of CRM combined with shop and newsletter. See who bought what, if they got a followup, did they click those links and how can we offer them more.
I have talked with the CRMery guys about integrating Hika too. (They only plan a VM option now)
At the moment, the bigger shops are looking for alternatives and that hurts. I like to keep them on Joomla/Hika and I hope you do too. Hika has matured and is stable but everytime I forward client request I see a pretty defense attitude. I understand it is busy and there are a lot of requests but all those details make a difference between keeping and losing clients.
