Pay now after order cancelation and notifications

So, today I was searching around my website. I made an order, and then cancelled it. Then I realized two things:

1. When I cancel the order from PayPal, I don't get any emails although we have an Email configuration for that and it is Enabled.
2. Although the order is cancelled and I can't change it's status via my order management page, if I'm logged into the website, and I click on the 'PAY NOW' in the order creation notification, I will be redirected to PayPal again with the exact items and money and I can pay for them there. While this can be good, if I'm NOT LOGGED in, I will be redirected to some unrelated page with numerous EMPTY orders that have nothing to do with my account and I get a message saying : THE PAYMENT METHOD WAS NOT FOUND. This is wrong. How can I change some code to redirect users to LOGIN page where they get the message : YOU HAVE TO LOGIN first and then they can check their orders. Please help me and feel free to poke around the website and make orders to see what I exactly mean. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi,

1. There is no option in the email configuration of HikaShop to notify you of cancelled emails. So I'm not sure what you're talking about ?

2. This has been fixed in the latest version of HikaShop. You would have to update in order to fix that behavior.

Hi,

1. I don't want the system to notify ME when a customer's order is cancelled. I want the CUSTOMER to be informed when they cancel an order if that's possible.

2. I have a lot of modifications that I will lose if I update my HikaShop. What code can I insert manually to fix this without updating?

Hi,

1. Actually it's not available, it will require some custom code for that. In the cancel_order function of the controller order (frontend), "components/com_hikashop/controllers/order.php".

2. I think that some changes have been made, so updating is really the easiest way and we always recommend to have an updated version of HikaShop. As for any software.
Wa have a complete override system in HikaShop, if you use the menu Display > Views you can made changes in the views without losing any customizations when updating.

1. I will be so grateful if you can help me out with the actual code. Since you know the system better than I do. Thanks
2. My problem is not just with language. Yes I can solve that problem with language overrides, but I have some files that I've changed from FileZilla.. like Emails and etc. I will lose those changes too. I'm willing to risk it and go the hard way. Just let me know which codes I have to replace and I'll do it.

Hi,

1 - We can't really help you on this since we already have a lot of support for customers we can't write code for everyone's special need. You can though ask on the commercial jobs forum if someone is willing to help you.
2 - Once again, it's not easy for us to look back in the old version of the code and see what we changed for this specific bug (we have dozen of commits everyday). You can try to download our last version and use the paypal plugin but it is a bit risky since we modified a lot of things (it depends of the version you are currently running). I would honestly recommend you to save the files you edited and update. Or even install a fresh version of Hikashop and redo your customization. Moreover, emails and views will be conserved if you used our view override system.
