Product subscriptions

Hi,

Is there such a thing as product subscriptions in hikashop? We're selling magazine subscriptions and I wondered if there was an option for a customer to log into their account and and renew their 6 or 12 month subscription?

Anyone heard of anything like that?

I've been using Akeeba Subscriptions with HikaShop, but it is no longer supported by the developer and is not recommended for end-users, so I'm going to have to change to something else. Is there another subscription product that integrates with HikaShop?

No, not at this time. We are only integrated with the akeeba component.
Many users are using it, and when set up, there is no reason to have problems.

I am having problems with Akeeba Subscriptions. If there is a product that uses it in the cart, the purchase process won't complete - i.e., clicking 'finish' results in a blank page and this error: Fatal error: Class 'FOFModel' not found in /home/sites/happenstancepress.org/public_html/plugins/hikashop/akeebasubs/akeebasubs.php on line 69

I've reinstalled Akeeba Subs, but that has made no difference. Is this a HikaShop error rather than an Akeeba Subs one?

Yes indeed, I recently heard that since the version 4 oh Akeeba subscription thay changed the FOF library to F0F (a zero instead "o").
So, thanks to use the latest v3.x.x of Akeeba or simply edit the plugin in order to change "O" to "0".
We will do the changes on our side, and this will be correct for the next release.
