Order history

Hi,

I'm wondering if someone could clarify exactly what the "set history message" does in the backend of hikashop when editing an order? Does this change anything on the frontend if for example they are viewing that order in their account page or is it merely used as a reference in the backend of joomla to admin users? The reason I ask is that someone has asked if I would be able to append extra reference numbers to the end of an order number. Since that is not advisable/possible im looking for another way for them to be able to add an order reference number either in the "history message" or via a custom field...

Thanks

Hello,
As it's said on the documentation :

If the history plugin is activated, each time the order is modified, the modification will be recorded by the plugin. The history events will then be displayed here as an unmodifiable listing. If there are no history events for an order (it should not happen when the plugin is active as an event is recorded on creation), this listing won't be displayed.

So each time you check the "set history message" and set a message, your message will be displayed through the "Information" column of the "History" tab of your order configuration page.
