I unpublish order statuses but they are still listed as valid options in the dropdowns and can be assigned to the orders.

By the way: There is a translation error in german.
CONFIRMED="confirmed" is translated with bezahlt, meaning payed. That is totally different. For me confirmed just means we are taking the order. Should be 'bestätigt'.

Would be nice if the language file would be cleaned here, order status apparently has two entries for each status:
CREATED="created"
PENDING="pending"
CONFIRMED="confirmed"
CANCELLED="cancelled"
REFUNDED="refunded"
SHIPPED="shipped"
ORDER_STATUS_CREATED="created"
ORDER_STATUS_PENDING="pending"
ORDER_STATUS_CONFIRMED="confirmed"
ORDER_STATUS_CANCELLED="cancelled"
ORDER_STATUS_REFUNDED="refunded"
ORDER_STATUS_SHIPPED="shipped"

Hi,

Yes, on the backend, unpublished statuses are still available for use so that you can use statuses that users/vendors cannot see/use on the frontend. It is useful to some merchants for some corner cases. It's the same for many other things. You can for example select a payment method for an order in the backend even if the payment method is unpublished. That way, you can set manually some payment methods that users cant normally see on the checkout. We use it on our own website for western union. That's a payment method we don't propose by default on our checkout because it's a pain to go receive the payment each time, but if someone contacts us and want to purchase HikaShop but cannot with credit cards or bank transfer, we propose him this alternative payment method.

Thank you for the feedback on the translation. I've made the change.

Regarding the entries that are twice in the file, this is for backward compatibility with old versions of HikaShop. We want to still keep them for a while for users updating from old versions.

Ah, I understand. Thanks for pointing it out.

We use HikaShop Business, but Frontend Editing is only available in HikaMarket FrontEdition?

Hi,

That's right, the front-end editing is provide by HikaMarket (front-edition and multi-vendor).
I introduced the new way to translate the order statuses because some user had issues with conflicted translations.
In HikaMarket, the "ORDER_STATUS_" translation is read first and if there is no translation for it ; it read the other one.
In HikaShop, due to the retro-compatibility, it's not already the case but we are working on some modifications for the order statuses for future version and I hope that the new translation key will be use by default.
