Automatically update order status to confirmed

Is there a way to automatically update the status of an order from "created" to 'confirmed" once a payment is accepted by authorize.net? I was told by Joomlart that is should happen automatically but it's not.

Hi,

It is possible ; it is called "IPN" and it is mostly managed by the setting "Allow notifications from Authorize.net"' in the plugin (but it can depend on the mode you're using).

Thanks for the response but I believe there is more to it then setting this value. When I set the "Allow notifications from Authorize.net" we receive an error when hikashop hands the order to authorize.net.

This is the Error:
The following errors have occurred.
(14) The referrer, relay response or receipt link URL is invalid.

When the "Allow notifications from Authorize.net" is set to NO the the hikashop handoff to authorize.net works, but no update to the order happens.

When the "Allow notifications from Authorize.net" is set to YES the the hikashop handoff fails with the above Auth.net error.

I see where we can add a relay response or receipt link URL in auth.net site and a return URL in Hikashop.

We are using SIM

Does anyone know if there is a special Hikashop URL we need to use to get authorize.net to update the status of the order?

Hi,

As Jerome said, you need to turn on the "Allow notifications from Authorize.net" setting of your payment method. That's this setting which will allow HikaShop to send the relay response URL to Authorize.net
The relay response URL you can enter in your Authorize.net merchant account is:
www.YOURDOMAIN.com/index.php?option=com_...pl=component&lang=en

Hi Nicolas, Thank you for the final bit of information I needed to make this work. I could not find the postback URL to hikashop anywhere on the documentation and it is such an integral part of making it work.

Can you edit your post to remove our domain from the link? Something like, www.YOURDOMAIN.com/ ...
