Hi,

I think I've missed a setting somewhere ..
we are receiving orders (admin) even though the customer has not paid for them, and there is no indication on the order of paid or unpaid,

where do I change this so that orders are only sent to us after the payment has been made ?

thanks

Hello,

Can you make some screenshot in order to understand what you mean "we are receiving orders (admin)" ?
An email or does you see in Hikakshop Order listing ? (in HikaShop configuration => Orders tab)
Keep in my mind that in order to give you precise advice, you must help us.

Awaiting news from you.

Regards

Hi,

ok I will try to clarify.
I am trying to figure out the seller email notification / configuration.

We currently receive
order created. - this has order details but may be unpaid. I dont want to receive unpaid orders.
so, I switch off "Order creation admin notifications email address"

Now I only have "Payment notifications email address" active.
now we get notification of payment, but no order details in the email.
only a reference to the order at the site backend.

How can we receive detailed paid orders ?

thanks

Hi,

In that case, instead of the payment notification emails, you could enter your email address in the "bcc" field of the "order status notification" email which is sent to the customers when the orders are confirmed.
You can do that by editing it via the menu System>Emails with the Business edition.

ok, thanks nicolas, so I am correct in understanding that in the essentials version, the supplier cannot get a paid order sent to them for processing? and that this is only available in the business version ?

Hi,

Well, they'll get the payment notification with a link to the paid order. And you can always modify the code of the emails if you're a developer to do whatever you want.
But otherwise, yes, adding a bcc to the order status notification email via the interface of HikaShop is only available with the Business edition, as I said.

Hi nicolas,

ok, I expected our workflow to be as follows:
1 - the customer orders and pays.
2 - the shop receives the paid order via email and processes it - sending out the goods to the address on the order.

if staff have to click a link for each order , and you multiply this by even just 200 per day, thats a lot of extra work for the warehouse staff, and if they receive unpaid orders, that's even more work for them to check which are paid and which are not.

I didn't check if hikashop produced a paid order email before I recommended it, I kind of expected that it would, this is a bit of a shock that it doesn't, however, but we've spent too much time and money to change now, so is this an edit your developers could do as paid work ?

Hi,

It could be yes. But then, why not upgrade to the Business edition and add the email address of the admin in the bcc field of the order status notification email ? That will do the same, and it will be cheaper than a developer customizing the code of the email.
I see that you already have the Essential edition, so you would only pay the difference to upgrade :

Hi,

If you did your changes via the interface of HikaShop, you should keep all your changes.
Of course, make a backup before just in case. But you shouldn't loose anything, unless you directly hacked in the core files of HikaShop via FTP.
