-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.finalbug.net
-- HikaShop version -- : HikaShop Starter 2.6.3
-- Joomla version -- : Joomla! 3.6.5
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : 5.5
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Getting to purchased order?

Hi Hika Team

I am about 93% there with respect to a fully working Hika Shop.
Most of my remaining difficulties are with respect to orders.

Please forgive me if I am understanding this incorrectly.

Problem 01

a) I purchase a product by pressing the add to cart button, filling in details and press Finish.
b) I am taken to a page where my order is confirmed and I have an order number. Eg order No. W19
c) Clicking the order number takes me to a more detailed invoice for my order.
d) Clicking the name of the product I bought on the invoice brings me to a page where I can buy the product again!

This last step has me confused.
I would have thought that I would be taken to the product seeing as how I have now bought it?

The same goes for the link sent via the emails:

We are pleased to confirm the creation of your order No. W19
and
The status of your order No. W19 has been changed to confirmed.

www.finalbug.net/index.php?option=com_hi...=order&task=show&cid []=19&Itemid=2117

Problem 02

The first problem is that I need to be logged in already.
If I am not logged in then I am redirected to a standard link not working page.
www.finalbug.net/network-final-cut-pro-p...essionals/login-here

So I am not sure if I am missing something here.
Maybe I just need to modify the email and insert instructions…

“Please login and click e.g. W19 to see your product.”

Maybe something else?

One way or the other I have the same problem with the link in the email.

Problem 03

Assuming that I am already logged in.

c) Clicking the order number (IN THE EMAIL THIS TIME) takes me to a more detailed invoice for my order.
d) Clicking the name of the product I bought on the invoice brings me to a page where I can buy the product again!

This can not be right?
I must be missing something?
Assuming that I am logged in I see no way of getting from the order to the purchased product!

Please kindly advise

thanks

Paul

Hi,

1. That's normal. Suppose you buy a cup on amazon. The link on the order will allow you to look at the product again so that you can buy another cup. That way you can buy several cups for your tea set if you liked the first one.
You say

I would be taken to the product

but that's what it does. It takes you to the product page of the product.

2. Again that's normal. If we didn't require you to be logged in to access your order page, it means that anyone would access the order and personnal information of anyone else on your website by simply guessing the URL of the order page.
Forcing the user to login before displaying him the order ensures that only him can see his personnal information.
If you want to change the text for the links, you can use translation overrides:
www.hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify

3. You're talking about the "purchased product". What does that mean ? Did you add some file under the Images & Files area of your product ? In that case, yes, a link to download the file will be available on the order details page and the email notification for the customer to download the file. That also requires that the order statuses configured in the Order section of the HikaShop configuration are correctly set.
Do you have another way to access the "purchased product" ?
Do you see the download link in order details page in the backend ?

Hi Nicolas

Thank you for your detailed answer.

1) Ok i get it.
I have bought 100s of Software components where I get a link to a down load which I download/re-download.

You're talking about the "purchased product". What does that mean ?

I am attempting to sell tutorials so you might want to return to the tutorial to watch it. This is why I was thinking the way I was. In my innocence I thought that once I had bought a product I could navigate to it via the Hika Products menu. Where I would see NO “Add to Cart” button. Thus clicking on the product would take me to it. In my case video tutorials as seen in the first screen shot below…

Double checking here: As of now there is no way to get from a Hika Shop menu/module to view purchased products? In my case videos!

2) I will look into this in more detail. I think some custom instructions like:
Remember to login in and go to here to view your product or look out for one more mail would be important.

The integration with Joomdle & Hika shop seems to be working.

Joomdle sends out a link on purchase. It is a none formatted email so for e.g:

Subject: Welcome to 3D Titles in FCPX

Mail: Thank you for your recent purchase of this course. Please first login into finalBUG.net and then go to this link here: finalbug.net/index.php?option=com_joomdle&view=wrapper&moodle_page_type=course&id=8

It really, really basic but it works!

3)

As of now there are free courses on my web site finalbug.net under the (Joomdle) Courses menu! I want to add paid courses next year.

***************************************************************

I guess that my main question is can I have a Hika mail e.g.:
(Also preferably with cleaner URLs.)
As follows that I can use to navigate to the purchased course from my email program.

***************************************************************

Subject: The status of your order No. ABC has been changed to confirmed.

Billing address
Mr Moodle test 123
Main Street
123 Capital Baden-Württemberg
Germany
Telephone:
Summary of your order ABC

(PRODUCT ABC) INSTRUCTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS: Please go here and login: wwwfinalBUG.net
Then go to your purchased product ABC

finalbug.net/index.php?option=com_joomdle&view=wrapper&moodle_page_type=course&id=8

***************************************************************

AND/OR

***************************************************************

Subject: The status of your order No. DEF has been changed to confirmed.

Billing address
Mr Moodle test 123
Main Street
123 Capital Baden-Württemberg
Germany
Telephone:
Summary of your order DEF

(PRODUCT DEF) INSTRUCTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS: Please go here and login: wwwfinalBUG.net
Then go to your purchased product DEF

finalbug.net/index.php?option=com_joomdle&view=wrapper&moodle_page_type=course&id=9

***************************************************************

Do you see the download link in order details page in the backend ?

Going to product ABC in the orders section I see this:

When I click on the link and am logged in (front end as well) I see this:

4) I use Easy Social so if there were something similar to this here for ES:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/7...mmunity-builder.html
Clicking on those orders in the “fictional” ES Profile Hika Shop section would they?

a) Take me to the shop to buy the products again?
or in my case
b) To the already bought tutorials in Moodle in a Joomlde wrapper where I could view them?

I hope that I am not asking too many stupid questions.
I am really loving your product and will be purchasing it sooner rather than later.

Thanks in advance

Paul

Hi,

1. If you want to sell videos with HikaShop, then just add the videos in the "Files" area of your HikaShop products.
They will be automatically available for the customers to download with a link in the email notification, in the order details page and in the download manager that you can activate with the option "Enable customer download area" of HikaShop.

If you're talking about giving access to moodle content after the purchase of a product in HikaShop, that is done by the moodle integration with HikaShop and that integration doesn't have any system to add links to the orders in HikaShop (although HikaShop provide triggers for third party developers to add such content if necessary).

3. As I said in point 1 above, the moodle integration doesn't add any links to the HikaShop order. But if it was implementing the triggers HikaShop offers for that, it would be possible. The trigger to implement in order to do that is: onAfterOrderProductsListingDisplay. You can find some information about it here:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/6...oductsListingDisplay
So you might want to talk with the Joomdle developers about adding such trigger in their integration with HikaShop so that it could do that. I'm sure many users of Joomdle and HikaShop would be interested.

4. The orders listing integrations take you to the order details page in HikaShop where you'll find a listing of the products of the order with links to the product page of the product, not to joomdle. So I don't think it would help.

Hi Nicolas

As always thank you for your detailed reply.

I was thinking of doing something similar to this as an emergency Plan. B.
However seeing as how I went to the trouble to implement Moodle/Joomdle I will try to stick to this as Plan A. :cheer:

If you're talking about giving access to moodle content after the purchase of a product in HikaShop, that is done by the moodle integration with HikaShop and that integration doesn't have any system to add links to the orders in HikaShop (although HikaShop provide triggers for third party developers to add such content if necessary).

Yes this is what I am talking about. And I am going to do the following:

- Modify the Hika mails so there is at the very least a link pointing to the Moodle Courses.
- Have Joomdle send out a link to the purchased course (got this working on Friday)
- Use something like ReReplacer to search for that text in the 3rd screen shot in this thread!
www.regularlabs.com/extensions/rereplacer
Obviously I need the paid version to make custom course names on the bills rather than Your order No. B3Q7 etc
ReReplacer would look for e.g. “3D Text in FCPX” or “Edit in Resolve 11” on certain pages.
And strip out the link that goes to the Hika Shop to purchase (in my case) AGAIN already purchased course…
… with a link that goes to the course in Moodle!

et voilà

Even thinking ahead of the curve a little…
If there was something like the CB integration for ES I could use this in a similar way!
i.e. get from a Social Profile to a Purchased product in my case a course in a LMS aka Moodle.
And yes I will mention the following to the Joomdle developers:

So you might want to talk with the Joomdle developers about adding such trigger in their integration with HikaShop so that it could do that. I'm sure many users of Joomdle and HikaShop would be interested.

The Joomdle developers have also been amazing!
And I am sorry I can not resist.
Please if you can get together with Stackideas this would be a match made in heaven.

again thanks for your input on this

Paul
