Purchase Refunds Processing

-- HikaShop version -- : 3.0.1 BUSINESS
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.5
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : All

Are we correct in understanding that HikaShop does not connect with PayPal to issue a refund?

Is the process as follows:

  1. Refund the amount via the PayPal Account Admin
  2. Change the Order Status in HikaShop to "Refunded"

Is there now way to issue a refund in HikaShop Admin that parses to PayPal?

We are using PayPal Hosted for security purposes.

Hello,

The Paypal "classical" plugin do not use any specific API or "Paypal Application" ; which mean that the plugin cannot ask for a refund to Paypal, there is no API for that.

If you want to do so, it will require the development of a new Paypal plugin to support one other Paypal service and have access to an API to control the transactions.
