-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Restricted products

We have a number of products in our Mediderma range that can not be openly sold top the public. How can we manage the registration and sale of these products through the shop.?

  • If we ask Chemists to register with us can we then allow these group of users to buy particular products.?

Hi,

Yes. What you can do is to configure the "access level" setting of these products to a specific user group that you can create via the Joomla user manager. And assign the user account of these customers to that user group so only them will be able to see and purchase these products.

Dear Nicolas, can it be done so that everyone can see them but only those with a medical license can buy.?

Hi,

In that case, you could set the access level on the price and not the whole product and have the "display add to cart button for free products" setting deactivated in the HikaShop configuration. That way, the price wouldn't display for the product and the add to cart button either but the product would still be available and the product listed on the listings.
