Shipped notification e-mail not showing any text

When I change the status of an order to "shipped", my customer receives a notification e-mail, but WITHOUT ANY TEXT (only the subject).

Instead, from the back-end, I can see a pre-formatted e-mail containing a complete text about the order made by the customer (his name, address and requested items), but none of that text is actually received (only a blank e-mail with the only subject is being receive).

Where should I look in order to also get the e-mail text being sent?

Hi,

I suppose that this happens when you change the status of the order from "confirmed" to "shipped" in the backend.
If you do it on the orders listing with the order status dropdown available there, you should be able to change the email address of the receiver and send the email to yourself.
Can you do that and provide:
- a screenshot of what you receive
- the raw data of the email.
For example, with a gmail box: www.electrictoolbox.com/gmail-view-raw-email-message/
And with outlook: superuser.com/questions/476940/outlook-2...e-source-of-an-email
- check the content of the email in the menu Customers>Email history of HikaShop and provide a screenshot of the details of the email there.

Yes, the notification e-mail is sent to the customer when I change the status of the order from "confirmed" to "shipped" in the backend.
The customer receives an e-mail, but with only the subject (I have checked it both in my e-mail manager program - Mozilla Thunderbird - and directly in the browser and smartphone).

I have attached a series of screenshots (their filenames explain what they are) and the raw data.

Hello,

1 - Can you please try to modify your order directly in the order details page and not in the order listing ?

2 - The Email History is a plugin that you need to publish if you want to access it.
You should check your plugins in the Joomla plugin manager (use the search tools to only display hikashop plugins).

Hello!

1. If I modify the order directly in the order details page and not in the order listing, then the notification e-mail is received regularly (subject and text).

Instead, if I modify the order in the order listing, then the notification e-mail is received blank (no text - subject only).

2. The closest thing to the "Email History is a plugin" I could find is named "HikaShop order history plugin", which was already been enabled (see picture 1.).

If that was not the plugin you meant, here is the list of all the HikaShop plugins I have (can you tell me which one was the plugin you meant, please?):

When I enter the order details (attached picture no. 2), after having clicked the box "Email" in the top left corner (attached picture no. 3) I can see the text the customer should receive (attached picture no. 4), but when I click on "Preview" I actually see no text (attached picture no. 4), as it really happens.

Is there anything to do in order to have a regular e-mail being sent acting only in the order listing?

Hello,

1 - So the problem is related to the fact that you can edit the email content before sending it.
I don't know what is that "preview" button but it's not something provided by HikaShop and I think it's related to your editor.
Can you please try to use another editor ; you can configure an override in HikaShop to choose the used editor :

2 - Nicolas and I forgot a little thing.
You have HikaShop essential and not HikaShop Business ; which means that you do not have the advanced features regarding the emails (edition and history).
That's why you cannot find the plugin but since you cannot override the emails and you got the content in the popup, there is no issue with the email content ; "just" with the fact that HikaShop cannot access to the content of the editor, which looks to be empty.
So I really think that you should use another editor within HikaShop so you will be sure that you won't have empty content.

Hi!
I tried all the possible editors without any change in the output (blank e-mail, but only when sent from the order listing): I should live with that limitation.

I would like to know if there is a way to have the "text only" version of the e-mail being sent (as shown in the attached picture) - I could not find any way to enable that option.

Hello,

If you have the issue with all editors, I think it would indicate something related to server security or third party plugins.
The email content might be seen as unauthorized content and removed from the data ; so HikaShop would receive an empty value for the email data and it would explain why you got empty emails.

We would see to make some improvements in HikaShop in order to handle the fact that the email HTML part could be empty and then check the "text" part in order to see if the email should be canceled or just sent as plain text.
