Hi there

New to HikaShop but have to say after several year using Virtuemart, this looks excellent.

Just having a few problems getting off to a start. Not sure if they are bugs in the software or in my approach (probably the later).

I can't seem to adjust the configuration, everything I do results in the error:
Checkout workflow invalid. The modification is ignored. See the documentation for more information on how to configure that option

I can't see which field or section I am doing wrong.

Am using the following setup with j1.7.1 and Hika 1.5.4

OK, seem to have resolved that issue now. I was using Firefox 7.0.1 on a Mac. When I tried in Safari the problem did not occur.

Now I have a problem trying to setup a menu item to display a category of products.

Seems to be th same issue again, works when I use Safari to setup the item, does not work in Firefox.

That's strange. We also use Firefox 7 (on windows) and don't have these problems. do you have the same problems on our demo website ?

Well, if it works for you with Safari then, it's ok, but that's strange that it doesn't with Firefox...

So it sounds to be a bug only appearing on macs ?
Did you try with safari or chrome or on a windows pc ?

I have Windows 7, Joomla 1.7.3 and HikaShop starter 1.5.4 and on chrome, I get the same problems. In MSIE, it seems to save the configuration.
Chrome version: 15.0.874.120 m

I tried with the same configuration on my end (Windows 7, Joomla 1.7.3 and HikaShop starter 1.5.4 and on chrome) and don't have the problem.
Do you use a different template than the default bluestork template for the back end ?
Maybe it comes from an incompatibility between chrome the js of the checkout workflow and another plugin/module/template on the back end ?

Strange thing is... last week, it worked but during a different installation of Joomla. Strange. I am glad that I have some method to edit the store and will try to figure out if it is a plugin or something else going crazy in my browser. Thanks for the quick reply.

UPDATE: Must by my system. It was working in MSIE then suddenly stopped. I did a full restart of the computer and now it is working in chrome... shrug.

We are still unable to reproduce the problem on our end in all the tests we did.

Just got the same msg ("Checkout workflow invalid. The modification is ignored. See the documentation for more information on how to configure that option").

Setup:
Joomla 1.7.3 w/ HikaShop Starter 1.5.5, both just installed, Crome as browser on Win 7. Only additions are a frontent template plus JCE.

System Setup reports:

Hi,

That's a problem which can happen in some cases on some browsers. We added a fix for that yesterday. If you downloaded the package before, you should download it again and reinstall it over your current version. That should help.

Thanks for your prompt reaction!

I DLed and installed com_hikashop_starter_1.5.5_2011-12-21 on top of com_hikashop_starter_1.5.5_2011-12-20 (see forum enty above) - same setup, same result, unfortunately. Changing a field and clicking Save in Google Crome (16.0.912.63 m) still gives

Checkout workflow invalid. The modification is ignored. See the documentation for more information on how to configure that option
Still works w/ MSIE 9.04.

BTW - there is an annoying problem in the Language file pop-up editor. When you use the keyboard arrow button to move upwards, it often stays in the same line. It's only a nuiseance - you can get to where you want with a click of the mouse, but still, when you're editig loads of text, you want to keep your hands on the keyboard...

We don't have that problem on Chrome.

Are you sure that you're checkout workflow is valid ?
What is it ?
If you correct it (you can try to deactivate the advanced checkout workflow edition and fix it manually following the documentation), do you still have the problem after ?

Hi,

I have absolutely the same problem with the business edition.
however, i think it's a Firefox 9.0.1 issue as under chrome v11.0.69.77 and Opera v11.60, it works well.

HTH.

Alain

Could someone with the problem provide an back end and FTP access to his website so that we can look at the problem as we are not able to reproduce it on our end ?

I performed some additional tests:

- on fedora 16 (in VirtualBox) with FF 7.0.1 (basic installation) everything works well.

i will upgrade it later to v9.0 and i will install new FF adds-on...maybe they generate the issue.

regarding free entrance to back end server, i'm sorry to say that from my side it's not possible. my ISP blocks a lot of ports and web server is on my local computer so not real way to access it from "outside" :-(

09.01.2012 / 22:10 - UPDATE (under ubuntu 11.10):
- I updated FF7.0.1 to 9.0.1 on Ubuntu and it still works great.
- I installed the same adds-on:
Web developer tool bar 1.1.9,
Firebug 1.9.0
Easy Youtube Downloader 5.9
FirePHP 0.6.2
FireQuery 1.0
Flash Vieo Downloader Youtube downloader facebook 3.2.0
Greasemonkey 0.9.13
HttpFox 0.8.10
Illuminations for developers 1.1.10
Live IP Address 1.83
SEO Status PageRank/Alexa Toolbar 1.5.9

and it still works.

10.01.2012 / 00:10 - UPDATE (under Windows XP SP3 x86):
- I install this version in Virtualbox and it works also without any problem.

with Hansel we have in common Windows 7 x64 bits as far as i understood.
except that Hansel has a starter version and i have the business version of your component hikashop.

:-(

Hi,

Ok i solved it :-)
it is so stupid !!!

It's a FF issue with keeping Cache active longer than required.
basically, you need to clean "Cache" completely and FF will not longer raises such issue.
at least it works with the Business version.

@Hansel
Try to clean FF cache by clicking on: Tools > Clear Recent History > Everything and tick every checkbox. next click OK button and check it on your server :-)
