I am developing a site with Hikashop Business 2.2.1
My client has Quickbooks Merchant Account. Intuit told us they no longer have "Innovative Gateway", which was listed on your list of payment plugins. How can I configure hikashop using Quickbooks Merchant Account? Can you point me in the direction of an FAQ or knowledgebase answer that might also have the steps to take for this process?

Hi,

I don't know which other gateways are compatible with their platform.

Jerome,

My client wants this, too. Intuit Merchant Services has a proprietary gateway (or they use authorize.net). Intuit states that carts of any sort can be configured to interface directly. payments.intuit.com/support/

Please respond with what it would cost for you to program Hikashop to do this.

Hi,

If Intuit doesn't offer anymore the innovative gateway API, it will require to develop a new plugin for their new API. Our schedule is full for the next 2 months regarding plugin developments so we won't be able to work on that until then.
If it's a project that you need to be done before, I invite you to work with a third party developer to develop that plugin. You can find such developers via joomlancers.com resources.joomla.org and our commercial jobs forum.

1-2 months is too short since we didn't start yet (between contacting the payment gateway, establishing the partnership, getting the documentation, the test account, starting the development, exchanging with them in case of issues, testing, and waiting for the next release it can take a lot of time) and there will be summer (and thus employees vacations) in the middle.

Hey Nicolas,

Sounds like you guys are busy but I'm adding myself to the list of folks needing the Quickbooks plugin.

My client is currently processing manually via Quickbooks and is anxious to get it automated.

Thanks,

Dave

Is there really no way to set this up if my client is using Intuit?

Hi,

We did develop an integration with Intuit Payment Gateway, and it was working fine... That is until they decided to stop supporting it and created a new one which is not backward compatible with the previous payment gateway.
We support already more than 70 payment gateways. If every one was changing their payment gateway API every few years, we wouldn't get any work done.
We do as much as we can, but we can't do everything on our own.
If you need a payment gateway integration done rapidly, them you can pay a developer to develop it for you.
Some of our partners will be able to do that for you: www.hikashop.com/home/our-partners.html
Also, third party developers who already developed payment plugins for HikaShop would also be able to do that.
Or if you're a developer, you can do it yourself. We have documentation available for that:
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...r-documentation.html
If there is one area where others can contribute code easily, it's the payment plugins. You have plenty of documentation, plenty of examples with all the payment plugins available freely in HikaShop and we'll be happy to answer your questions.

Thank you for your explanation.

With Intuit being such a widely used platform, there must have been others that have needed the integration. Before I start contacting all of your partners, do you know of any that have already done this that I should focus on first? Is there someone from your partners that you can recommend that has more background than others in terms of creating this type of integration?

Hi,

I can recommend PolishedGeek, 3by400, and Trepizur.pl
All of them have developed payment plugins for HikaShop in the past.
I can also recommend Edwin 2 win. While they didn't develop one, they developed a whole extension for HikaShop and provided many patches for HikaShop's code base, so it won't be a problem for them either to do that.

My client just got notice that Intuit will be changing their payment account to use Pivotal Payments as of October 1, 2015. Has there been any payment integration with Pivotal and HikaShop in the past? Is this gateway something that be set up easier than Intuit?

Hi,

See... when I was saying that they keep changing it.
Looking online, I found this thread:
forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=69993.0
There, it says that Pivotal Payments supports authorize.net payment plugins thanks to an emulator.
It's an old forum thread, but I suppose that this is still the case.
So with that you'll be able to use the standard authorize payment plugin of HikaShop to process payments with that payment gateway.
I would recommend to confirm with Intuit that the authorize emulator will be included. And if so, it should be easy to have it work with HikaShop.

Hi,

Do you have more informations about Intuit using Pivotal Payments? Do you know if it supports authorize.net payment plugins as you told us before?
