Hi,

It's already possible thanks to the Paypal recurring plugin.
You can set the option "recurring type" to "installments".

Here is the link to this plugin:
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...a-subscriptions.html

ps: you don't need the akeeba component and plugin for this feature.

I have this issue as well and would like to see it function before I purchase.Hikashop.
Can this plugin be added to the demonstration system so that I can walk through the set up and presentation to understand the way it will appear to my customers. I realize the documentation doesn't have it yet, but if could demonstrate it then i can proceed with my purchase.

Thanks in advance...

Hi,

I have added the plugin to the demo website, it should be displayed in about 2 hours.
The options are "Regular subscription", "Global subscription" and "Instalment subscription"

The regular is for products only and must be associated with the akeeba subsciption component, Global recurring allow to re order the previous order each xx time, and the Instalment allow to pay an order in xx times.

i have set up the plug in and it is not behaving as intended.
I have it set to installments and the number set to 3.
The test product is priced at $1.00.
An order for 1.00 is created and confirmed, another order for .33 is created, not confirmed.
In paypal, it bills the first installment for the $1.00 and creates 2 more payments each for .33.
My thought was it would create 1 order for $1.00 in hikashop and 3 payments for .33 in paypal with the first being due now, then second 31 days later and the third 62 day from today.
Am i missing setting someplace or is there a bug?
Let me know what you see on your end...coming down to the end of development of the site and this is my last hurdle.
Thanks in advance,
alan

Hi,

Could you provide a screenshot of your plugin settings so that we have a clearer picture of the situation please ?

I can provide it when maintenance is done on the hosting partner.
Meanwhile, I tried it on the demo system and it acts similarly to my system.
Perhaps it can be reviewed there while i get the screen shots.
Thanks,
Alan

I really need this to be less about my ability to upload the document which i have now tried 8 times to do with no success and more about the fact that the demo system behaves exactly the same and can be easily seen on the demonstration site you provide.

There appears to be a size limitation on attachments because i attached my document with screen shots and a very small one and the small one went ant the large one did not, even though it said it uploaded them both.

Any ideas on how to get this file to you. It is 3 screens in order to get all of the options and is just short of 6mb in size

I put and order in the demo system (c4c8) and it confirmed that order and created c4d9 as created/not confirmed. On the paypal site it wanted to charge the full price on the first payment, then 2 more payments each for a third of the total. You can review these and the recurring set up items as i have made them match my configuration.
Thanks,

Hi,

I have reproduced a problem on our test site. The problem is that there is not a correct amount set for the sub order.
But on my tests, the order and the sub orders are created correctly.

Payment:
- creation of the main order
- creation of the sub order 1

Then the recurring should come.
I will work on that bug as soon as possible.

Thanks for that. Glad to here we have it reproduced.
I also found that number of installments can not be greater then 3. The back end allows it, but the front end will ask for another payment type when checking out and selecting a payment type with more then 3. My client needs to allow for 5 or less...is this possible?

Thanks in advance
alan

Sounds good.
I will need it pretty quickly after that because our launch date is slipping without this functionality. I can buy a few days on my end but then it will start to get critical.
Thanks for the update. I hope you all are having happy and safe holidays.

Once I got the plugin installed, i created a payment method based on the 'Paypal Recurring' option. I made sure it was published, but not the default. Make sure in your Hikashop settings you do NOT have only show default payment method. If you do, you wont see the others I believe that setting is in the checkout section. Thats all I can think of, hope it helps. B)
