-- url of the page with the problem -- : dev.frame-revival.com/frames/checkout/step/step-3
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.2 HikaShop [1310091555]
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.14
-- PHP version -- : 5.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 25
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Impossible to contact the CardSave payment gateway.

When testing a CardSave payment method I get this message when using the Direct API, however when I use the Hosted API option everything works OK. Also the payment plugin always shows the Information message "You need to enter your CardSave Shared Key. If you don't have a CardSave account yet, you can create a new account by clicking here" even though the Shared key is definitely correct.

CardSave tell me it might be down to GoDaddy Shared Hosting not allowing communication on port 4430? Do you know if this is the case? Also can you point me to where in the log file that might show this?

Regards
Tim

Hi,

Indeed, the direct API of CardSave requires the web server to support the establishment of outgoing connections via the port 4430. If your server doesn't allow for that, you need to see with your hosting if they can allow it. If not you won't be able to use that payment method on your server.

I just posted a cardsave problem (but different to your problem), and I was advised the message in the plugin screen about still needing to enter the shared key is an error and not to be worried about if you have indeed entered it.
