Customer enters their own price

Hello, we are looking for the ability to provide a product page where the customer can enter their own price.

Reason: We have a physical shop and have customers from out of town who get us to do jobs outside our online product options. These customers sometimes want to pay by credit card and the price will vary depending on what they have ordered.

We would like the customer to be able to go to our website, select a product called "Custom Credit Card Payment". All the product needs to be is a numerical field where they simply enter a dollar amount to pay, eg. 58.50. We would then like this to go straight through to our SwipeHQ credit card payment provider for the customer to enter their card details. Not necessary to go through checkout.

Can you give us some advice on whether this is possible through Hikashop? Can you think of a better way of doing it?

Hi,
You'll probably be able to do that by using some custom fields of the "item" table through free product, so that your customers will be able to :
- Add their price through the custom field
- Buy your "free" product, so that you'll be able to check what price they gave to your "free" product through the order listing "Hikashop->Orders"
