Wells Fargo (Authorize.net)

After PayPal froze my account for 30 days with no clear explanation of why, I decided I needed to move to another merchant system. My bank, Wells Fargo, has merchant services sitting on top of Authorize.net. Has anybody used this combination before and been happy with it? I can't find any posts mentioning WF (and maybe it's pretty irrelevant anyway). I don't know of a way of setting up a test system with them without shelling out for the sign-up fee ($99 though they're offering $50 until Dec 31st).

I also need the Authorize plugin to send back a payment confirmed token so I can trigger events on my website (generating a license). This works fine with the PayPal plugin so I'm hoping Authorize offer the same confirmation back!

Sorry, not directly a Hikashop question as such, though I'd appreciate any feedback of anybody using Hika/WF/Authorize.
