That's not really what I mean. With each payment option I can add an amount or percentage for costs. I can also make it a discount by putting negative numbers there. That last option (discount) is what I want to talk about. When I give discount at certain payment methods, I give discount to the total sum of money people do have to pay for the products. Let's say I really want people to use iDEAL (a Dutch payment method) I could give 10% discount.
So when they order for € 1000,00 products there will be € 210,00 VAT added (I live in the Netherlands, our VAT is 21%). So they have to pay € 1210,00. Now they get to the payment method in the checkout process. They choose iDEAL. I give them 10% discount.
What should happen?
They pay € 900,00 for the products and get € 189,00 VAT added. Total € 1089,00 (€ 121,00 / 10% less)
What happens at Hikashop?
The discount is processed and the amount to pay will be € 1089,00. The VAT was € 210,00 and will stay € 210,00.
Conclusion: they will pay € 879,00 for the products and € 210,00 VAT. So they are paying 23,8% VAT, which is INCORRECT.
See the screenshots to prove it. I hope you understand my problem and that it's a real problem.
Furthermore I'm curious if other people have this problem?
