Since AUP points spending seems broken in 2.2.3 I decided to see if I could get the new native points system working. I have some issues and questions about it:

-Firstly, the only way I could set up the two plugins was to get direct URLs to them from another forum thread. Is this seriously the only way to access the plugins? Now that I have setup the payment plugin I see it in the payment plugins list, but there is no way to access the points gain plugin that I can see.

-There is no way to setup what order state will provide new points. In the AUP plugin I had it setup with "confirmed, shipped".

-What does the 'don't give points when using some' option do? Obviously if someone uses points to partially pay for an order, they should earn points on the remaining part of the order. So do I select 'No' for that?

-What does 'limit by type' do?

Hi,

The menu to access to the "user points" generic plugin will be added in the next release.
Because the plugin "user points" was the only plugin, we didn't want to introduce a new menu item just for it.
But with the next build, the plugin management will be move from the HikaShop configuration to this new menu.

As you said, there is two parts for the "user points" system. One for the payment and the other for the gain.
The order status configuration for gain of point use the HikaShop "Invoice order statuses" configuration entry.
You can override it by editing the plugin configuration (Though the Joomla Plug-in manager)

The option "'don't give points when using some" means that if a customer use some points to pay an order (or have a discount) it won't gain points for this order.

The option "limit to type" is a relic of the plugin "AlphaUserPoints". When you gain points by products, if you limit by type the quantity of the products won't affect the points calculation.
[no limit to type] 2 x product A + 1 x product B = 3 points
[with limit to type] 2 x product A + 1 x product B = 2 points
