Pass product name(s) purchased to Virtual Merchant

Need to pass names of product(s) purchased to Virtual Merchant with payment information from VM plug-in module so that we know what to fulfil when we get notification of credit card payments.

How can the plugin be adapted to include the names of the products purchased for each credit card order?

We were using a different payment module before (Black Table Media), but that module wasn't compatible with Joomla 3.1.1. The old module DID pass product names (along with Merchant ID, customer info, etc.). How can this VM module be modified to include the name(s) of product(s) purchased for each credit card order?

Please note that Black Table Media (software developer) was able to modify the Virtual Merchant module to pass product name(s) and invoice #s to Elavon/Virtual Merchant. So the module can be customized to pass additional information that customers require. This way, the information passed from the website also appears on the settlement reports from VM.
