Is there a way to import currency conversion rates for all the countries?

Thanks. Have a good time in Paris.

Not wanting to be cynical, but yes... in the Business version, even automatically at set frequencies. ;)
Though, not for all currencies, a number of "smaller" ones are still to be maintained manually***.

i guess the only things you can do in other versions is update them manually, or write your own little "script" to load them from some source into the database, but I guess that'll be only worth it if you're using many currencies and need all updated daily.

*** Question to support at this opportunity: why are those "small" currencies left out? I happen to display quite a few of them, and have to update manually. Maybe consider changing the external source for rates to one which has them all included?

Hi,

As Lousyfool said, in the non Business edition you can import the rate via the menu System > Currencies, and then click on "Update rate" in the toolbar.

To get the currencies from another website, the plugin hikashop_rates need to be edited. The url can be changed at this place.

Aaah, that's where it's from... ECB! Thanks Xavier!

Hmm, the ECB doesn't put out more in this format, it seems. So, I guess for more currencies to be included, the challenge is to find a different, equally reliable source, which uses (or lets you set) the EUR as basis and makes an XML in the same format available... sounds like searching the needle in the haystack, haha...

You would have to develop a new plugin for another exchange rate service provider. It's not just about changing the URL as each one will have a different API.
