Fields clearing

If a user during checkout forgets to fill in something in their payment information (example, the CVV code), the page refreshes with a message "Please fill your credit card information"
But all of the fields are blank again, the customer has to fill in all items over again.

Is there a way to retain what they have already filled in?

It looks like you are using a very old version of HIkashop (1.6.0) the last version is 2.3.1 and we fixed a lot of bug since then.
What I would suggest is to try to install this last version on a copy of your website and see if it fixes the problem.
It seems indeed complicate to just fix this particular point regarding how Hikashop evolved.
