It seems to be a new requirement of PayPal that they require customers to create a PayPal account before allowing them to pay by credit card. Over the past three months, most of our customers have dropped out at the payment stage, and I believe this to be the reason. A lot of people don't like PayPal, and they particularly don't like being forced to create a PayPal account when they really don't want to. It's compromising our business. I've now installed two alternate payment methods (direct transfer and manual credit card processing), both of which will take more time for me, but costs are much lower and there's not that compulsion.
