Deposit for Paypal payments

Just a query on Hikashop. Can we set it so payments made through the site request a deposit (say 30%) as payment only rather than a full 100% up front?

I would like customer to be able to pay 1/3 deposit, then be able to pay the rest prior to us shipping our finished product, so we would need to be able to notify product completed and request payment, or have them login and make final payment on their own.

Is this possible?

At this time, our PayPal recurring plugin allow to pay in many times to for example 33.33% three times or 50% two times.
But for your needs, you will have to make a plugin which will create two orders when checking out, one at 30% and another one at 70%. The first one which will be the current one, and the other one with the created order status.

In the configuration > main > order enable the option to pay later.
