Connection failure - error code : 10426

No payment methods found

I'm not sure if this is a misconfiguration in Hikashop or possibly in Paypal.

Initially my problem was that I have configured Paypal Express as a payment method. I was able to buy an item on the website, click the Express button and log into my personal Paypal account to perform a test payment. The only unusual thing is that on the left of the screen it showed the shopping cart details and the message: "Please call Fletcherprint and Rubberstamps on 07 578 6711" I had never seen this message with any other merchant.

After approving the payment I received two emails from my website, stating the order is pending and confirmed (in the 2nd email). Based on this I assume that the IPN notification has worked.

However, no money has changed hands, nothing has left my personal test account, nor has it been received in the merchant account.

I have then called Paypal support, who after a long wait have assured me that both accounts are configured correctly.

Now I am receiving the error message "Connection failure - error code : 10426 , error message : Item total is invalid.

No payment methods found" when I click the Paypal express button.

Any idea how to progress from here?

Hi,

The "Item total is invalid." error indicates a problem of calculation of the total. That's something we fixed lately in the PayPal Express plugin after we added an option to send the details of the order. If you turn off that option, you won't get that error.

Regarding the fact that no money is transferred, it's probably because you have the "sandbox" option turned on in the payment method. That option allows you to do test payments without transferring any money.
