Hi,

I can't seem to find a way to translate the "Specific Configuration" fields that are used for some of the payment methods such as bank transfer or check.

The fields featuring the html code for "Account owner", "Name of the bank", etc. are available during the payment method configuration, but are not available for translation in Falang or via the translation windows of Hikashop.

I end up getting order confirmation pages and e-mails with mixed languages, the first part being in French or Spanish, and the account details and transfer instructions in English.

Is there a simple way to translate those fields (we are using Hikashop with 4 languages)?

Hi,

You will have to create as many payment methods as languages, and restrict each payments methods per zones.
And for each payment methods set the text in the desired language.

Thanks a lot for your quick reply!

Is there a plan to add translation support for those fields at some point?

Restricting to zones would work to some extent, but mixing geography and language is, in our experience, always a big problem. It gets complicated with countries or areas where several languages are used (Belgium, Canada, Switzerland to name a few), then we would have to define restrictions for 4044 State zones (e.g. Ontario gets an English version, Québec gets the French version, etc.), not to mention the fact that English speakers, using our Hikashop frontend in English, might get payment instructions in a different language if they are travelling abroad.

Or perhaps add a new zone type to Hikashop that restricts according to languages?

Hi,

My bad, there is an easy solution, just replace the whole content by a translation key, for example:
CHECK_PAYMENT_INFOS

And then in the language files add the key and the translation in the override part :)

That would definitely solve it. We will give it a try. Thanks again.
