Three of the products on this site need to have two prices shown on the product details page:

Example:
Single Pay $300 at time of order
3-Pay $100 at time of order with 2 future billings of $100 each

The client will manage the future billing for the 3-pay plan. So, I don't want or need Akeeba Subscriptions.

Is there a simple way to provide the customer with the 2 price options on the product details page?

Hi,

Why not just create a characteristic with the two choices as values of the characteristic and add it to these three products ?
You could then set the price that the user would pay for the product in each variant of the product via the "manage variants" button of the product edition page.

Your solution would work for the example I gave. Now I have found out that the "3 Easy Payments" apply to the entire order when they buy a certain product. Example: The 3 Easy Payments apply to orders containing product X. A customer orders product X, product y and product z. The 3 Easy Payments apply to the entire order of three products. Is there a way to handle this?

What do you exactly mean by it ? can you give me more information about it ? do you mean that your customer is selecting the "3 Pay" variant of the product X/Y/Z ?

Mohamed, thank you for responding. As long as a specific product (product x) is included in the order, the customer is given the option of paying for the order in 3 equal monthly payments or they can pay in one single payment. We do not need to handle the 3 month subscription. But, during the checkout, we need to charge the customer for either 1/3 of the order amount if they select the 3-pay or we need to bill them for the entire order amount if they select the single pay.

Does this make sense? It is done all the time on TV shopping shows in the US like QVC and HSN except they offer the easy pay on the individual product(s). In this case, if a customer buys product x, they can pay for the entire order in 3 monthly payments with no interest.

Hi,

We do not need to handle the 3 month subscription. But, during the checkout, we need to charge the customer for either 1/3 of the order amount if they select the 3-pay or we need to bill them for the entire order amount if they select the single pay.

Note that you can :
- Use a "Type of payment" characteristic so that your customers will be able to choose if they want to buy the product in one time of just through the 3 month subscription

In this case, if a customer buys product x, they can pay for the entire order in 3 monthly payments with no interest.

Note that you can use different payment methods regarding the products that are in your cart, but not change the price of the product in it.
