Paypal Payment Plugin problems

Everything has been working great, and several things suddenly stopped.

1) My Customers are no longer getting email notifications of confirmation of their orders. I have ordered several products from the site with no notifications. This is for the Hikashop paypal pro and Hikashop Paypal payment plugins. I am still getting notified in my admin account that I have a new order.

2) Neither Pay-pal payment plugin are forwarding to my thank you page after checkout. I created a hidden thank you menu item and placed this in the return url of both plugins. This had been working and has stopped.

3) Several customers have told me they are getting an "google_account_id_invalid" error (See attached picture. Which I have been able to reproduce after I pay for a product on the site and then return to the site later, and the cart is empty.

There is an order notification "yes" "no" option on the paypal pro plugin, and a "send details of the order" on the paypal payment plugin that I couldn't find in the documentation. I have put all of these problems in one post because I was thinking all three problems might point to the main problem. I realize I am on an older version, but everything was working so well..

Hi,

Things don't start "not working" all of a sudden for no reason. Someone must have changed stuff on your website / web server.

1. Go in the menu System>Emails and make sure that the "order creation notification" and "order status notification" emails are still enabled. Otherwise, that would explain the issue. Also, make sure that the orders are confirmed in your backend. If that's the case, then HikaShop is sending the emails to your email server through the Joomla mail library. So the only thing left is that your email server is not sending the emails for some reason and looking at the log of the email server would help understand why the emails are not sent by the email server.

2. So where are they redirected to ? What is the URL ? Are they redirected at all ? If not, that would mean that the auto redirect setting of your PayPal merchant account has been turned off.

3. This error indicates that the HikaShop google analytics plugin has been activated and configured with an invalid google account id. You can check the settings of that plugin via the Joomla plugins manager.

Thank you for the quick response.

You are correct things don't just stop working.

1) I did as you said and checked the email status notification and it was indeed unpublished. I don't know how but I will start an inquisition with the other techs. I will test tonight and see.

2) They are forwarding to my home page. Which I have a setting set in system->configuration -> main -> cart that when the cart is empty to go to my homepage. I will check paypal and see if something was changed there.

3) I will look into the google analytics plugin.
