Difference between Hikashop and Paypal amounts

Hi, we have had a problem where there was a difference between the checkout price on Hikashop (including shipping charge and VAT) and that which was the amount the customer was charged when they logged into their Paypal to make the payment. The difference was only £0.01 more at Paypal which the customer paid, but when the transaction returned to Hikashop it came up as cancelled due, as far as we can see, to the difference in the Payment amount.

We have checked with Paypal and they say the problem is not caused by anything at their end, so please can you explain what would cause this and what we can do to rectify it.

In the paypal settings under HikaShop > System > Payment methods, please disable the option "Send details of the order".
This should fix your issue, if you send the details of the order, PayPal do the calculation of the final price itself but it does not have the same way to round the prices, we round only the final price (after calculation) which don't seem to be the case of paypal, or it is not rounding the same way at the end.

Thank you Xavier. I have disabled that option so hopefully that will now resolve the issue.

The help for this item says: "If activated, all the details of the order will be sent to PayPal. If deactivated, only the full amount of the order will be sent to PayPal."

So does that mean that if activated this option sends all of the line items to Paypal and it then does the sums and comes up with the £0.01 difference?

I have the same problem and it stops when I disabled the option "Send details of the order". But I need the details of orders. What can I do about this?
