Hello, I am using for the first time HikaShop and in particular can not figure out how to set the payment by credit card. I went in the relevant section to create the payment methods and created the method of payment by credit card. While I created the method of payment I have not noticed any space where enter the details to receive payment, I still finished creating the new payment method saveing it. than I tried to make a test purchase on site using precisely the method of payment "credit card ", the payment went right but obviously on my credit card was not picked up anything. I wonder then how it works and in what section should enter the details of my bank or my credit card to make card payments are working properly. Ps. currently use the free version of HikaShop.

Thanks in advance for any answers! :)

Hi,

The "credit card" payment method allows you to collect the credit card information of your customers in order to process it manually on your end with your own payment terminal.
If you want the payments to be processed automatically, you need to have them go through a payment gateway.
Your bank might propose such solution but in that case, it usually requires establishing a specific online merchant contract with them (they'll take a small percentage of your sales for that service)
The simplest is to contract with third party payment gateways like PayPal or Authorize.net. They will allow to create a merchant account with them in minutes and it's often simpler to setup than bank solutions but their percentage on sales is usually higher than your bank.
Once you have such payment processing merchant account, you can just configure the corresponding payment method in HikaShop with the merchant account credential provided by your payment gateway.
On the checkout the customer will usually be redirected to the payment gateway payment page at the end of the checkout in order to enter his credit card details and you'll have the money transferred to your merchant account, which you'll then be able to transfer to your bank account.

Hello,

I would like to use this thread to ask about another credit card payment settings.

Our bank can provide connection to their "e-card internet portal". After signing the contract we receive the implementation files (JAVA/.NET/PHP/ASP platform).
Which settings I must change in HikaShop? I found the credit card plugin, so I enabled it and set it as one of available payment methods.
What to do next? How will the HikaShop connect to the e-card portal? And how will the e-card portal know about the price of our order? If the transaction is successful is it possible to automatically change the status of order?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

Filip

Hi,

You can't connect to the "e-cart portal" like that ; it requires a specific development for a new payment plugin.
See more about payment plugin development : www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...r-documentation.html
