Paypal advanced and refunds?

Curious about this situation. We have Paypal advanced running and processing orders with confirmations, etc... I was wondering, if someone issues a refund on Papal, does it communicate back with HikaShop in anyway to then change the status of the order that was refunded, or is this a two step process, refund, then manually change status?

Hi,

It's a two step process. You have to manually change the status of the order for refunds.
We do it like that so that you can choose to send an notification or not (based on what you talked about with the customer) and also so that you verify that the refund is a valid refund (and not something your payment gateway automatically triggered for an unexpected situation). Also, many payment gateways don't have the capability to trigger the shop for refunds.
